Job summary

HALO Diagnostics is seeking a Patient Navigator to guide patients through hereditary cancer genetic testing, coordinating education, scheduling, specimen collection, and follow-up. This in-person, full-time role focuses on delivering a seamless patient experience.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care, accurate documentation, and efficient workflows at partner sites, including phlebotomy support and insurance coordination.

Qualifications

• Nationally certified phlebotomist with strong venipuncture skills.
• 2+ years of clinical experience (front office or back office).
• 2+ years of experience with insurance verification and prior authorizations.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience with diagnostic or genetic specimen collection.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if travel is required).

Responsibilities

• Guide patients through the hereditary cancer genetic testing process from start to finish.
• Provide clear, compassionate education on testing, procedures, and next steps.
• Serve as the primary patient contact to ensure a supportive and informed experience.
• Conduct structured patient consultations to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
• Build strong relationships with partner site staff, providers, and clinical teams.
• Own patient cases, scheduling, follow-ups, and workflow coordination.
• Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens for genetic testing.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation in EMR/EHR systems.
