Job summary

HALO Diagnostics is seeking a Patient Navigator (Patient Support & Phlebotomy) to guide patients through hereditary cancer genetic testing. The role combines patient education, care coordination, and phlebotomy support within a multidisciplinary clinical team.

The position offers a full-time, in-person schedule in Aurora, CO, with a bilingual English/Spanish preference and a comprehensive benefits package in a fast-growing healthcare technology company.

Qualifications

• Nationally certified phlebotomist.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience (front or back office).
• Minimum of 2 years of insurance verification and prior authorizations experience.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience with diagnostic/genetic specimen collection.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation if travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients through the hereditary cancer genetic testing process from start to finish.
• Provide clear, compassionate education on testing, procedures, and next steps.
• Serve as the primary patient contact to ensure a supportive and informed experience.
• Conduct structured patient consultations to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
• Own scheduling, follow-ups, and workflow coordination for patient cases.
• Collaborate with partner sites, clinicians, and care teams to integrate workflows.
• Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens for genetic testing.
• Ensure proper patient identification, labeling, handling, and transport of specimens.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation in EMR/EHR systems.
