Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking highly motivated Herbicide Applicator Technicians responsible for spraying right aways, roadsides, removing weeds, trimming, and cutting grass and brush. This is accomplished with a spray truck, an ATV, a backpack sprayer, or by dragging a hose.

DCS is a family owned and operated business serving State DOTs, railroads, and other commercial/residential customers across the United States.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• 21+ years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license with 5 years clean MVR.
• Successful completion of pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check.
• Must be able to travel away from home for up to 4–6 weeks at a time (hotel paid, per-diem).
• Herbicide application experience is preferred but not required.
• Commercial pesticide applicator license: Category C6 preferred, obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Agricultural, landscaping, or related industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Spray right of ways and roadsides; remove weeds; trim and cut grass and brush using spray truck, ATV, backpack sprayer, or hose.
• Keep truck and equipment clean and organized; calibrate spray equipment (training provided).
• Understand weed, grass, and brush types; learn methods and chemicals used and safety requirements to meet customer expectations.
