Job summary

Indium Corporation in New York is seeking a Help Desk Technician to provide user support for Windows servers, Cisco networking, and desktop software. You will handle routine inquiries, install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop systems, and assist with network monitoring and data protection.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of IT experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Travel may be required, and confidentiality is essential.

Qualifications

• One year of experience with Windows Server 2008/2012, Cisco gear, TCP/IP, VPN, data backup, and network monitoring
• Strong research and analytical problem-solving abilities
• Self-directed and self-motivated
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain desktop computers and related systems
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop systems and network issues
• Perform desktop installation, basic cabling, network monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Maintain account maintenance, data integrity, and file system security
• Assist in determining suitable software to meet user requirements and upgrades
• Conduct training programs for computer users
• Communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel
• Document and catalog systems for information assurance
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Handle off-hours duties and team responsibilities
• Attend training as needed
• Perform other duties or projects
