TEKsystems in Austin, TX is seeking a Contract IT Support Specialist to provide live phone and chat support for Windows, Mac, and Linux in a corporate setting. A strong customer service foundation and technical know-how are essential for resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues.

Preferred certifications include CompTIA A+/Network+ or Cisco CCNA. This onsite role offers a pay range of $23.00/hour and a broad benefits package, with eligibility based on role and tenure.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience supporting Windows, Mac, or Linux in a corporate setting.
• Troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Familiarity with POS systems, thermal printers, thin clients, scanners, handheld terminals a plus.
• Strong customer service with live phone and chat support.
• Preferred IT certifications listed above.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to users via phone and chat.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Assist with retail technology and peripherals as needed.

Job description

Required Skills

• 1+ years of experience supporting Windows, Mac, or Linux operating systems in a corporate setting
• Experience troubleshooting integrated computer systems, including hardware, software, and connectivity issues
• Familiarity with retail technologies such as POS systems, thermal printers, thin clients, scanners, and handheld terminals is a plus
• Strong customer service skills. Our team provides live phone and chat support, so a solid technical foundation paired with great communication is essential.
• Preferred certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Cisco/CCNA, or other industry-relevant certifications

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
