Job summary

TEKsystems in Rockville, MD is seeking a Desktop Technician to install, configure, and administer Windows desktops on-site. The role focuses on managing software and hardware lifecycles, setting up new user accounts, and providing frontline desk-side support.

You will troubleshoot desktop issues for local and remote employees, work in a fast-paced environment, and participate in deployment preparation. This contract-ready position offers hourly pay between $20 and $26 with comprehensive benefits.

Job description

The main function of a Desktop Technician is to be responsible for the installation, configuration, and administration of Windows desktops.

Job Responsibilities:

Set up new users, including desktop configuration, email accounts, ldap accounts, VPN accounts

Support employees, both local and remote, with desktop issues, account issues, and access to various internal services

Troubleshoot software issues on employees desktops/laptops

This is a Contract position based out of Rockville, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
