Job summary

Kirby-Smith Machinery, Inc. in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Technical Communications Coordinator to develop and deliver technical training, support technicians in the field, and act as the liaison with equipment manufacturers.

The role ensures staff have the knowledge to diagnose and repair heavy equipment effectively and safely. You will maintain up-to-date product knowledge, assist in creating manuals and bulletins, and monitor team proficiency while traveling to various sites as required to

Qualifications

• Heavy equipment knowledge and experience in maintenance or technical support.
• Five years in heavy equipment maintenance/repair or tech support, with two years in a training/technical-communication role.
• Strong technical knowledge of heavy equipment systems and components.
• Ability to read and follow electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to document and report clearly.
• Proficient in technical documentation and reporting; adaptable in fast-paced, safety-focused environments.
• Travel to field locations as needed; capable with Microsoft Office and web-based tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical assistance for diagnostics, maintenance, and repair to technicians.
• Develop and deliver technical training programs for staff and customers.
• Liaise between the dealership and equipment manufacturers for accurate technical information.
• Prepare and disseminate technical bulletins, service manuals, and documents.
• Monitor technicians' proficiency and provide feedback to improve service quality.
• Assist warranty administration with technical information and claim merit.
• Document recurring issues and report to manufacturers for product improvements.
• Remain on-site and field-ready to guide technicians via phone and in person.
