Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Stationary Equipment Operator to safely operate equipment at our recycling facility, transfer station, or hauling locations. You will conduct pre/post inspections and ensure safe operation of equipment while maintaining high cleanliness and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.
• Ability to adhere to company safety standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and readiness.
• Safely operate stationary equipment such as forklift, excavator, bulldozer, front-end loader, sweeper or baler.
• Monitor waste/materials for unacceptable items and sort into appropriate piles.
• Load transfer trucks with front-end loader and compact waste to maximize payload.
• Document Equipment Condition Reports and report needed repairs to supervision.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures and participate in safety training.
