Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Operator – Heavy Equipment to safely operate at a recycling center, landfill or transfer station, handling waste and soil through loading, spreading, covering and compacting. You will perform pre- and post-operation inspections and ensure a safe, efficient workflow.

Two years of heavy equipment experience and OSHA-site familiarity are required. Comprehensive benefits and a supportive team environment are provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections.
• Safely operate equipment (forklift, excavator, bulldozer, front-end loader).
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials and keep equipment operational.
• Document minor repairs and notify supervisor for major issues.
• Maintain a clean, serviced shop and complete required reports.
• Follow safety policies and perform additional duties as assigned.
