Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Stationary Equipment Operator to safely operate heavy stationary equipment at a recycling facility, transfer station, or hauling/collections location. You will perform pre- and post-operation inspections and load, pack, and transfer waste with front-end loader and other equipment, while adhering to safety policies.

The role requires at least 2 years of heavy equipment experience and OSHA-site exposure, valid training certificates, and a professional,

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in heavy equipment operation.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.
• Valid certificates of training and applicable licenses for operation of equipment, as required.
• Good customer service skills; professional and cooperative demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment.
• Safely operate equipment such as forklift, excavator, bulldozer, front-end loader, sweeper or baler and other stationary equipment.
• Load transfer trucks with a front-end loader and ensure full capacity by packing down waste.
• Monitor waste/materials for hazards and adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Complete Equipment Condition Reports and report repairs as needed; coordinate with Maintenance Shop.
