Job summary

Republic Services is hiring an Operator – Heavy Equipment to safely operate heavy machinery at our recycling facility, landfill or transfer station. You will perform pre- and post-operation inspections, monitor waste quality, and complete necessary reports while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of prior related experience in heavy equipment operation.
• One year of prior experience working at sites regulated by OSHA.
• Strong safety mindset and adherence to policies.
• Professional, courteous interaction with customers and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of equipment.
• Safely operate equipment such as forklift, excavator, bulldozer, and front-end loader.
• Monitor waste streams for unacceptable materials and ensure equipment readiness.
• Document minor maintenance and report major repairs to supervisor.
• Keep the shop clean and ensure proper storage at end of shift.
