Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking an Equipment Operator with a valid driver license to manage heavy equipment and vegetation work along electrical rights-of-way. The role involves transporting gear to multi-state sites, operating bulldozers, backhoes, excavators and mowers, and performing routine maintenance.

The position requires awareness of electrical hazards, ability to work in various weather conditions, and successful completion of pre-employment screenings.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Familiar with tree species identification.
• Familiar with electrical hazards.

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy equipment such as bulldozers, backhoes, skid steers, excavators, loaders, dump trucks, mowers and stump grinders.
• Transports equipment to and from multi-state job locations.
• Installs and removes gates, fences, barb wire, culverts, rocks and base.
• Works on rough rock and base along highways and right-of-way.
• Uses a chainsaw to cut brush, logs and stumps of larger trees.
• Gathers brush and feeds into wood chipper; applies herbicide as needed.
• Maintains truck, chipper and equipment in good mechanical order.
• Pre-employment drug screen, background and MVR checks may be required.
