Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in the United States is seeking an Equipment Operator (Driver License Required) to operate heavy equipment to remove branches and tree material from electrical lines.

This is a Full-Time +, Non-Exempt position offering competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package. Eligible for benefits including health, dental, vision, and retirement programs, with pre-employment requirements such as drug screening and background checks.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Knowledge to identify tree and shrub species.
• Familiar with electrical hazards.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR checks may apply.
• Driver license required; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates heavy equipment such as bulldozers, backhoes, skid steers, excavators, loaders and dump trucks.
• Transports equipment to and from multi-state job locations.
• Installs and removes gates, fences, barb wire, culverts, rocks and base.
• Works on rough terrain along highways and right-of-way.
• Uses a chainsaw to cut brush, logs and large trees.
• Applies herbicide to right-of-way following safety procedures.
• Maintains and services truck, chipper and equipment; keeps them clean and functional.
• Works around hazardous equipment with hearing protection as required.
