Job summary

The Shelly Company, a CRH company, is seeking a candidate to assist the Foreperson with daily production duties by operating heavy equipment and performing plant related tasks.

Responsibilities include operating equipment safely, performing maintenance, welding and fabrication as needed, and ensuring compliance with safety rules. Travel, night and weekend work may be required, with emphasis on teamwork and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience operating heavy equipment preferred.
• Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment accurately, efficiently and safely.
• Access all areas of the plant to perform maintenance and repairs.
• Perform welding and fabrication duties as required.
• Clean up around plant and surrounding area.
• Lubricate and perform general maintenance on equipment.
• Detect safety hazards and malfunctions and respond accordingly.
• Follow directions.
