Job summary

The Shelly Company, a CRH company, seeks an Asphalt Plant Foreperson to oversee daily HMA plant operations, interact with customers, and ensure safe, efficient production. The role involves maintenance tasks such as welding and fabrication, plus operating equipment and managing stockpiles.

Relocation assistance is available, and candidates must have a high school diploma or GED with basic math and reading skills. On‑the‑job training may be provided to develop required plant knowledge.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of the HMA plant and load out asphalt.
• Perform maintenance on plant parts including bags, dryer, burners, and related equipment.
• Operate front-end loaders and other heavy equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies.
• Complete daily production reports and related paperwork.
