Job summary

The Shelly Company, a CRH company, is seeking an individual to assist the Foreperson with daily production duties by operating heavy equipment and performing plant-related tasks. Responsibilities include operating equipment safely, performing maintenance, welding, and maintaining a clean work area.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and the ability to read safety and maintenance manuals. Willingness to travel, work nights and weekends, and adhere to safety policies are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Operate various heavy equipment safely and efficiently according to job site requirements.
• Access all plant areas for maintenance and repairs.
• Perform welding and fabrication duties as required.
• Clean up around plant and surrounding area.
• Lubricate and perform general maintenance on equipment.
• Detect safety hazards and respond appropriately.
• Follow directions and work with the foreperson.
