Job summary

The Shelly Company is seeking an Experienced Asphalt Plant Operator to oversee daily operations of the HMA plant, ensuring safe and efficient production and loading of asphalt. The role requires hands-on maintenance, welding, and fixture repairs as needed.

Day or night shifts are available with relocation assistance; candidates must be able to travel to job sites, work weekends, and meet safety and reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 3–6 months related experience or training.
• Experience operating asphalt plants or related heavy equipment preferred.
• Ability to follow safety rules and maintain documentation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of the asphalt plant and load-out.
• Inspect and maintain plant components and perform basic repairs.
• Operate front-end loaders and other heavy equipment as needed.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies.
• Complete daily production and sales reports and deposits.
