Job summary

The Shelly Company, a CRH company, is seeking a reliable general laborer to support plant operations across Ohio. You will assist the plant foreperson, operate heavy equipment as trained, perform routine maintenance, and support various duties to keep the plant running safely and efficiently.

You will work a demanding schedule, including nights and weekends when required, and must adhere to safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• Education and experience: High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions and manuals.
• Reasoning and basic mathematical skills to perform simple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist the plant foreperson with daily operations and upkeep of the plant.
• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., front-end loader, skid steer) as trained.
• Perform general labor, shoveling, and routine equipment maintenance as needed.
• May perform welding and fabrication duties as required.
• Identify safety hazards and respond to equipment malfunctions.
