The Shelly Company is seeking a qualified Heavy Equipment Operator to operate and maintain heavy vehicles and assist with related duties at the quarry facility. The role requires adherence to safety standards and willingness to travel or work nights and weekends as needed.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, coordinate with supervision, and support other crew members to ensure efficient, safe operations while maintaining OSHA/MSHA compliance and teamwork across shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Prior Heavy Equipment experience, including Crushing Operation helpful.
• OSHA/MSHA safety compliance required.
• Willingness to travel and work nights and weekends as needed.
• Must join Local 18 IUOE within 30 days of employment.

Responsabilités

• Detect safety hazards and respond to equipment malfunctions.
• Safely operate heavy equipment including Haul Truck, Water Truck, Dump Truck, Dredge, Track Hoe, Frontend Loader, and Skid Steer Loader.
• Understand and follow directions.
• Weld and fabricate as needed.
• Assist with general labor and equipment maintenance as requested by supervision.
• Maintain awareness of safety regulations (OSHA/MSHA).
• Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections daily and report issues.
• Work as a team to ensure safe, smooth operations at the facility.
• Keep the crusher fed consistently while following safety rules at quarry locations.
