Job summary

The Shelly Company, a CRH company, is seeking an Underground Equipment Operator (Construction) to perform duties around the job site, operating heavy equipment including drill, bolter, scaler, loader, excavator, and other maintenance tasks.

The role requires adherence to OSHA/MSHA standards, willingness to travel, and the ability to work day or night shifts in an underground mine environment. Safety-focused team player preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent; 0–3 months related experience or training.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Ability to work around underground mine environments and operate heavy equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Detect safety hazards and respond to equipment malfunctions.
• Safely operate heavy equipment including haul trucks, track hoes, loaders, drills, bolters, and scalers.
• Perform general labor and assist foreperson and crew as needed.
• Maintain daily operations and upkeep of the underground mine.
• Follow OSHA and MSHA regulations and company policies.
• Work day and night shifts as required.
