Job summary

The Shelly Company, a CRH company, is seeking a CDL-certified heavy equipment operator to drive trucks and operate large earth-moving machinery at quarry sites across Ohio. The role includes routine safety inspections, welding and fabrication as needed, and assisting with general labor under supervision.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, relate experience, willingness to travel, and ability to work nights and weekends as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1–3 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior heavy equipment experience is helpful.
• PPE required: welding gloves, hard hat, hearing protection, safety shoes, seatbelt harness when required.

Responsibilities

• Detect safety hazards and equipment malfunctions and respond appropriately.
• Safely operate heavy equipment including Haul Truck, Water Truck, Dump Truck, Dredge, Track Hoe, Frontend Loader and Skid Steer Loader.
• Weld and fabricate as needed.
• Assist with general labor, shoveling, maintenance, and crew support as requested by supervision.
• Ensure crusher is fed consistently while maintaining safety standards.
