Job summary

The Shelly Company, a CRH company, is a vertically integrated supplier of aggregates, asphalt, ready mix concrete and paving services throughout Ohio. The truck operator role requires operating heavy equipment including a 35-ton capacity truck, performing pre-trip inspections and following safety procedures to ensure a safe, productive worksite.

Responsibilities include driving, equipment maintenance, coordinating with the foreperson, and adhering to OSHA/MSHA standards while possibly traveling

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior heavy equipment experience including crushing operation is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment and truck with capacity of ~35 tons.
• Perform pre-trip inspections and report issues.
• Maintain safety and follow OSHA/MSHA regulations.
• Assist with general labor and equipment maintenance as needed.
• Work as part of a team and follow supervisor directions.
• Travel and be available for nights/weekends as required.
