Valleywise Health is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator to act as a critical liaison among patients, staff, physicians, and departments. The role includes front-desk duties on patient floors and in clinics, with a focus on courteous, professional interaction.

The HUC will support clinical staff, track consults and patient movement, and help ensure smooth unit operations while upholding the health system's values and standards.

Qualifications

• Prefers a high school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of related work experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Must complete Valleywise Health computer classes.
• NAHUC certification is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Acts as liaison between patients and staff, physicians, nursing, and departments.
• Provides administrative support including typing, filing, data input, phones, and supplies.
• Supports clinical staff by tracking consults, stat orders, supplies, and patient movement.
• Aligns performance with organizational vision, values, mission, and goals.
