Based in Cincinnati, OH, the HUC works closely with nursing and support teams, ensuring timely charting, admissions, discharges, and patient information flow across departments.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. HUC education from college or vocational school preferred.
• Years of Experience: 1-2 years equivalent customer service experience.
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal communications skills both written and verbal.
• Demonstrated excellent computer skills with Microsoft software packages including Word, Excel, Outlook and database management.

Responsibilities

• Work effectively with the team to accomplish daily unit tasks and goals.
• Communicate clearly and courteously with patients, visitors and staff.
• Support clerical/non-clinical activities under nursing management supervision.
• Assemble patient charts, prepare charts for operating room and for studies or discharge.
• Discharge processing, admissions, transfers and documentation in hospital systems.
