Job summary

Premera Blue Cross is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to collaborate with IT and business teams, documenting requirements as epics, features, user stories, and rules. You will analyze current processes to find pain points and efficiencies, support data analysis and testing activities, and contribute to backlog planning.

The role emphasizes partnership with stakeholders and a solid understanding of healthcare systems to deliver value and keep projects aligned with business goals.

Qualifications

• Experience in a software development environment using Agile delivery practices (Scrum/SAFe).
• Knowledge of project delivery methodologies including Agile and Waterfall.
• Experience using SQL for data analysis, validation, troubleshooting or reporting.
• Knowledge of healthcare or health insurance processes and systems.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Visual Studio, Confluence, and Product Plan.
• Customer-focused with ability to align solutions to business needs and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with IT and business to document requirements as epics, features, user stories and business rules.
• Analyze current processes to identify pain points and opportunities for efficiency.
• Support data analysis, validation, root cause analysis, and reporting activities.
• Assist with test planning, UAT, and end-user test scenarios execution.
• Contribute input on backlog priorities and sprint planning.
• Build strong partnerships with stakeholders and ensure high-quality outcomes.
