Job summary

Premera Blue Cross is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to partner with IT and business teams, gathering requirements and documenting them as epics, features, and user stories. You will analyze current processes, propose improvements, and support data-driven decisions using SQL and Power BI.

You will contribute to testing, UAT, and backlog planning, helping prioritize work to deliver reliable healthcare technology solutions for members and providers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business or related field.
• 2 years of business systems analysis experience including requirements gathering and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience in Agile delivery (Scrum/SAFe) and knowledge of project methodologies (Agile/Waterfall).
• Experience with SQL for data analysis, validation, or reporting.
• Familiarity with healthcare/health insurance processes and systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with IT and business partners to document requirements as epics, features, user stories, and UI specs.
• Analyze current processes and design future-state improvements to drive operational efficiency.
• Perform data analysis to validate requirements, support root-cause analysis, and inform solutions.
• Support testing including UAT and development of test scenarios.
• Contribute to backlog prioritization and sprint planning with the delivery team.
