Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Acute hearing and demonstrate clear speech.
• Twelve months experience in a call center, switchboard or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellence in customer service by directing calls to the right people with a positive tone.
• Handles emergency calls quickly in a fast-paced setting.
• Prioritizes, analyzes and routes calls related to emergencies (Police, Fire, EMS, alarms).
• Manages email, phones, pagers, radios, and overhead paging effectively.
• Revises on-call schedules for Clinical and Ancillary Departments.
• Updates communications database.
• Maintains STAT, pager and key logs.
• Issues and receives communication devices when requested.
• Controls lockset keys as required.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by manager.
