Job summary

Burke Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to help design and manage the nursing department's staffing schedules. This role requires maintaining four-week master schedules and ensuring accurate updates in the scheduling system.

You will collaborate with Unit Managers and nursing leadership to fill open shifts, optimize coverage, and address gaps. A high school diploma is required, and healthcare staffing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in healthcare staff planning is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with technology with previous experience using electronic scheduling and timekeeping software preferred.
• Possesses a friendly demeanor and a customer service-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Develops and regularly updates comprehensive staffing schedules, including four-week master schedules for the nursing department.
• Maintains all nursing schedule patterns and assigned shifts with the approved electronic scheduling software, ensuring timely updates to reflect current staffing plans.
• Works closely with Unit Managers and other nursing leadership to proactively fill open shifts and address scheduling gaps.
