Saunders Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Staffing Coordinator with prior staffing coordination experience to join our care team. You will schedule nursing staff, manage placements, and partner with nurses and agencies to ensure patient care coverage.

In this role you will monitor staffing metrics, address gaps, and support quality improvement initiatives to optimize staffing processes and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in staffing coordination or related field.
• Experience preferably in a nursing home.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Experience with electronic staffing systems and software.
• Ability to handle confidential information and analyze staffing data.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate staffing schedules to ensure adequate coverage and efficient use of resources.
• Place orders for staffing assignments based on patient census and staff availability.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement staffing plans.
• Monitor and report on staffing metrics such as turnover and vacancy rates.
• Develop and maintain relationships with staffing agencies for timely and cost-effective placement of temporary staff.
• Identify staffing gaps and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize staffing processes and patient outcomes.
