Job summary

Fairview is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to support patients, providers and staff by facilitating access to services, tests and procedures. You will handle registration, scheduling, and related clerical tasks under the care provider's direction.

Responsibilities include obtaining consent, communicating with teams, coordinating services, producing schedules and reports, updating changes, managing discharge communications, and handling multiple phone lines with responsiveness.

Qualifications

• Experience handling patient intake and scheduling workflows.
• Ability to communicate with patients, providers and staff.
• Strong organizational and clerical skills for scheduling procedures and tests.

Responsibilities

• Acquires patient consent for records and authorizations from payers.
• Communicates with patient, staff and physician regarding authorizations.
• Schedules services per Doctor's orders and coordinates follow-up visits.
• Produces efficient schedules and relevant reports.
• Updates schedule changes accurately.
• Monitors discharge status and coordinates discharge communications.
• Answers multiple telephone lines promptly and thoroughly.
• Participates in department decision-making and scheduling across departments.
