Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience to meet required functional competencies.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; post secondary education in medical field advantageous.
• 2–5 years of experience in a medical office, including administrative support and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and coordinates patient appointments, procedures, and tests across multiple providers.
• Verifies insurance and obtains prior authorizations when needed; may register patients.
• Maintains department schedules, prepares training materials and handles patient data workflows.
• Provides department reception and telephone coverage; supports patient check-in.
• Organizes and maintains department records and communications materials.
