Job summary

Good Shepherd Health Care is seeking a Patient Access Representative to ensure efficient daily operations, excellence in phone-based customer service, and accurate outpatient registrations. The role involves collecting demographic data, verifying insurance, processing payments, and coordinating with payors for authorizations.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and may prefer bilingual (English/Spanish) speakers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years hospital collection experience preferred.
• Bilingual and/or English/Spanish speaking preferred.
• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient demographic and insurance information and enter into the electronic patient record system for outpatient registrations.
• Answer phones and provide courteous, professional customer service.
• Scan and attach insurance benefits, patient liability estimates, and authorization information into the electronic health record.
