AdaptHealth is seeking an Operations Specialist to support patient care and drive operational excellence across our networks. You will help improve workflows, verify authorizations, and manage patient data in EMR systems.

The role emphasizes process improvements, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and adherence to HIPAA and infection control standards while delivering high-quality care and timely services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
• 1 year of related work experience required.
• Healthcare, insurance, billing or call center experience preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient computer skills; HIPAA knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support regional operations through workflow improvements and training.
• Review documentation including insurance verification and authorizations.
• Navigate EMR systems to enter and verify patient data.
• Analyze workflows to identify errors and implement solutions.
• Coordinate with teams and leadership to address trends.
• Maintain HIPAA and infection control compliance.
• Assist with training materials and onboarding.
• Meet quality and performance metrics while managing priorities.
