Job summary

The US Oncology Network in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a Front Office Coordinator to support the coordination and operation of the Front Office functions. You will coordinate office procedures with medical staff and billing, and act as a liaison with physicians, patients and other office staff.

This role ensures timely authorizations, insurance verification, patient financial counseling, and adherence to company policies and compliance programs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum three years of medical office experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates office procedures with medical staff and billing office to ensure smooth flow of information.
  • Participates in the completion of month-end close checklist for all assigned items to ensure meeting or exceeding corporate timelines.
  • Implements and complies with Company Reimbursement Policies and Procedures to maximize efficiency.
  • Reviews all attorney requests and records to ensure proper authorization has been obtained and all documentation is present.
  • Oversees insurance verification process and patient financial counseling to inform patients of financial obligations.
  • Ensures authorizations are obtained in a timely manner.
