Job summary

The US Oncology Network's Cancer Care Northwest is seeking a front office professional to handle insurance verification, eligibility assessment, patient demographics, and financial counseling. Responsibilities include obtaining pre-authorization, documenting patient interactions, and supporting the Billing Office to ensure accurate and timely billing.

The role requires a High School Diploma and at least 3 years of medical office experience with insurance procedures and patient interaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or a General Education Degree.
• three (3) years of medical business office experience with insurance procedures and patient interaction

Responsibilities

• Ensures all insurance, demographic, and eligibility information is obtained and entered into the system in an accurate manner.
• Performs insurance verification process on all third- party payers and obtains initial and subsequent pre-authorization for services.
• Re-verifies benefits and obtains authorization and/or referral prior to initiation of treatment.
• Performs financial counseling on patients prior to treatment, including patient financial obligations and payment arrangements.
• Documents financial counseling and forwards to Billing Office.
• Assist patients in obtaining financial assistance and outside assistance, and all appropriate forms filled out.
• Collect co-pays, deductible and other out of pocket amounts at time of visit.
• Demonstrates patient confidentiality and supports front office efficiency.
