US Foot & Ankle Specialists in Leesburg, VA is seeking a friendly Medical Front Desk Receptionist to join our team in a part-time capacity. You will be the first point of contact for patients, handling check-in, calls, scheduling, and basic billing tasks in a busy healthcare office.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years of medical office experience; excellent communication and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of administrative support experience in a medical environment preferred.
• Knowledge of health insurance processes, including pre-authorization, insurance verification, CPT/ICD coding preferred.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong communication, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, confidential healthcare setting.

Responsabilités

• Greet patients upon arrival and address questions and concerns.
• Answer incoming calls, provide information, transfer calls, and take messages as needed.
• Schedule appointments and manage provider calendars.
• Register new patients and update demographics and financial information.
• Facilitate patient flow and communicate updates to patients and staff.
• Maintain and update patient records through data entry, faxing, and scanning.
• Collect payments including copays and deductibles; assist with billing tasks.
• Review accounts receivable/payable changes since prior visits.
• Verify insurance eligibility and referrals for next-day appointments.
• Prepare and process daily reports and upload financial records to shared files.
