In this role you will handle check-in/out, verify patient details, process payments and referrals, and maintain accurate records while upholding HIPAA standards. A positive, professional demeanor is essential in a busy healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and CPT/ICD codes preferred.
• Medical assistant or medical office technician certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a professional manner.
• Register patients and collect insurance information and co-pays.
• Schedule and cancel appointments per policy; prepare charts and paperwork.
• Process check-in/check-out and update patient demographics.
• Enter and verify information in the system; assist with referrals and authorizations.
• Assist with day-end reports and basic administrative duties.
