Job summary

Urology Centers of Alabama in the Birmingham area is seeking a Medical Front Desk Clerk to be the first point of contact for patients. You will greet arrivals, assist with kiosks, collect documents, enter data into the EMR, and prepare files for visits.

You will also coordinate with physicians and nurses, help with check-out, schedule follow-ups, provide imaging instructions, manage superbills, and support confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families at check-in and answer questions.
• Assist with kiosks, collect documents, and verify insurance info.
• Escort patients to exam rooms as needed.
• Prepare patient files and maintain confidentiality.
• Coordinate with staff to notify when patients are ready.
• Process check-out in EMR and schedule follow-ups.
• Provide imaging/appointment instructions and handle superbills.
• Attend meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
