Job summary

Advocate Health in Winston-Salem, NC seeks a full-time Maintenance Technician to perform facility and equipment maintenance per codes, document activity in CMMS, and support patient care areas. The role requires 2–4 years of maintenance experience and hands-on skills with mechanical/electrical systems.

You will troubleshoot motors, pumps, HVAC, doors, and other equipment, respond to emergencies, read blueprints, and conduct preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years of equipment maintenance experience.
• Basic CMMS and facility systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform facility and equipment maintenance per codes; document in CMMS.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment such as motors, pumps, conveyors, doors, fans, boilers, heat exchangers, controls, etc.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair patient care equipment such as beds and carts.
• Inspect and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing and piped medical gas systems.
• Respond to emergencies and service requests; communicate status to stakeholders.
• Read blueprints and maintenance manuals to complete assignments.
• Perform preventive maintenance and safety checks.
