Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare or computer technology field.
• Four years experience in healthcare or computer technology field.
• Six years configuring, supporting, training, and implementing clinical, financial or administrative systems used in healthcare.
• Demonstrated effective leadership and communication skills.
• Demonstrated strong analysis, problem resolution, judgment, and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Experience working in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Directs the operations of the department/function responsible for clinical, administrative, or financial systems.
• Manages budgets and financial assets to achieve financial objectives.
• Oversees human resource management and staff training for the department.
• Majority of day to day work is spent managing the work of the team rather that participating in the technical delivery of the work.
• Provides technical leadership and direction for department/area and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a group of employees.
• Accountable to plan and manage the daily operations within the parameters of their departmental operating and capital budgets.
• Directs the work of employees including hiring, goal setting, coaching and mentoring, performance management.
• Manages customer, stakeholder, and vendor relationships and expectations.
• Communicates with staff and manages resource allocation to projects to ensure timely delivery within budget and requirements.
• Coordinates technical interdependencies, schedules, and business requirements with other project teams and with key business stakeholders.
• Provides training opportunities to ensure staff competencies.
• Ensures staff follow defined support and service management best practices.
• Facilitates creation and management of operating and service level agreements for assigned applications.
• Defines and monitors application-specific metrics as outlined in SLA/OLA.
• Coordinates across IS teams to develop and test solutions and resolve incidents and problems.
• Oversees maintenance of technical documentation and staff training.
