The Health Technician (Telehealth Clinical) supports and manages telehealth operations, typically stationed at a clinical care delivery site (e.g., VA Medical Center, CBOC, VA Outreach Clinic).
This entry-level position involves performing duties related to telehealth services, including preparing clinical environments, serving as a tele-presenter, managing imaging and data for store-and-forward telehealth, ensuring safety and cleanliness, completing clinical questionnaires, protecting patient privacy, communicating effectively, and maintaining telehealth technology.
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
Not available for telework; this is a non-virtual position. No relocation incentives are authorized. Physical requirements include some physical exertion, travel may be required, and possession of a valid driver's license may be necessary.
Applicants must meet basic requirements including U.S. citizenship, relevant experience or education, and other conditions such as background checks and physical examinations. Preferred experience includes home telehealth, EHR, and office skills.
The full performance level is GS-06, with a range of GS-05 to GS-06 possible upon selection.
Must submit transcripts if education is used to qualify. Recognized institutions are those accredited by the U.S. Department of Education.
