Job Overview

Pharmacy Technicians in our Patient Care Center of Excellence work in a call center environment, engaging with patients, doctors, and facilities via phone. Responsibilities include managing patient inquiries, updating medication profiles, supporting patient care, and navigating pharmacy systems. This role offers a dynamic, high-energy environment focused on phone-based pharmacy support.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service via phone.
  • Handle high volume inbound calls from patients, serving as an expert to resolve questions.
  • Make outbound calls to update or create medication profiles.
  • Assist with patient questions and resolve care issues.
  • Coordinate with clinical pharmacists and medical professionals.
  • Perform claim adjudication, billing, eligibility checks, and collect balances.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
  • Receive prescription authorizations, clarifications, or transfers using sound drug knowledge.
  • Verify prescription information with doctors.
  • Process prescription data quickly and accurately.
  • Conduct welcome calls for new patients and assist with onboarding.
  • Collaborate with technicians and pharmacists to ensure smooth onboarding.
  • Support a nationwide patient base in a fast-paced environment.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed.
Skills & Abilities
  • Comfortable in a phone-based environment.
  • Ability to work independently and motivate oneself.
  • Strong customer service skills for interactions with doctors, pharmacists, and patients.

Minimum Requirements
  • Must be 18+ years old.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Experience in a pharmacy setting.
  • Certification with PTCB or NHA, and current certification maintained.
  • Active pharmacy technician registration with the State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Ability to work remotely or in an office setting, primarily sitting at a desk.
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 11am to 7:30pm EST.
