Job Details

As a Pharmacy Technician in our Patient Care Center of Excellence, you will perform multiple duties to ensure quality patient care, primarily through phone interactions in a closed-door pharmacy environment. Responsibilities include navigating pharmacy software, supporting various stages of patient contact, and developing diverse skill sets in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service via phone.
• Process prescription data accurately and efficiently.
• Handle prescription authorizations, clarifications, and transfers using sound drug knowledge.
• Perform claim adjudication, prior authorizations, billing, and eligibility checks, including outbound calls.
• Manage case queues and resolve patient care issues.
• Act as liaison between clinical pharmacists and medical professionals.
• Assist with onboarding new patients and maintain detailed, confidential records.
• Make welcome calls to new patients and update medication profiles.
• Support higher call volume periods and address patient inquiries over the phone.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum 18 years of age.

• Previous pharmacy experience.

• Active pharmacy technician registration with State Board of Pharmacy.
• Ability to work remotely or in an office setting, sitting for 90% of the time.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday, 12 pm to 8:30 pm EST.
