Job summary

United Health Centers of the San Joaquin Valley seeks a Health Center Supervisor to direct staff and manage day‑to‑day operations for the health center’s Front and Back Office areas. You’ll respond to issues, apply UHC policies, and support provider schedules to optimize patient flow.

You will work under the Health Center Manager, lead the management team, and contribute to service excellence, patient satisfaction and cost‑effective care in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associates Degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in lieu of degree may be applied for this position.
• Minimum 1 years of management or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure staff adherence to customer service standards and quality of work.
• Proactively manages provider appointment schedules to ensure templates are applied correctly.
• Maintain patient flow to support agency productivity standards and goals.
• Manage patient flow in real time to ensure timely check-ins and registrations.
• Monitor staff performance and recommend promotions and disciplinary actions.
• Provide coaching, training and staff development with Health Center Manager.
• Participate in interview process for new personnel for Front Office and Back Office positions.
• Plan and evaluate assignments to ensure adequate coverage for quality care.
• Coordinate site audits/visits readiness with Health Center Manager.
• Communicate operational issues and improvement ideas to Health Center Manager.
• Participate in process improvement and data collection as necessary.
• Ensure accurate cash/copay collections and daily deposits.
• Provide coverage in health center positions as necessary.
• Interface with other departments for operational effectiveness.
• Multi-task and manage assigned projects as directed.
• Other duties as assigned by Health Center Manager.
