Job summary

Wyoming Child and Family Development, Inc. is seeking a Substitute Paraeducator for Head Start to support three- to five-year-olds.

Under the Lead Teacher, you will help prepare materials, assist with lessons, and provide individualized care to promote social readiness and school readiness in a safe, nurturing setting. Duties follow Head Start standards, with IFSP/IEP collaboration, accurate paperwork, and adaptable daily routines.

Qualifications

• Must have HS diploma or GED and be 18+.
• Must obtain CDA credential within a specified time frame.
• Training and support provided by WCFD.
• Accredited degrees recognized by US DoE are required.

Responsibilities

• Recruit children for the program per guidelines.
• Deliver direct services to children, families, and staff.
• Implement lesson plans in various settings.
• Communicate positively with staff, children, and families.
• Support IFSP/IEP goals in collaboration with teachers.
• Keep classroom areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Provide individualized educational activities.
• Complete required paperwork on time.
• Assist with outdoor and playground activities.
• Perform minor first aid and routine hygienic care.
