Job summary

Wyoming Child & Family Development is seeking a Substitute Paraeducator for our Head Start program. You will work with the Lead Teacher to prepare materials and set up the classroom, providing individualized care to children aged 3–5 to promote social competence and school readiness.

Responsibilities include implementing lesson plans, delivering services to children and families, and assisting with IFSP/IEP goals in collaboration with teachers and therapists.

Qualifications

• Must work with children aged 3–5 and families.
• Understand developmentally appropriate practices and early childhood education concepts.
• Follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Collaborate with diverse staff and families.
• Communicate effectively with children, families, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Recruit children for the program following guidelines.
• Implement lesson plans in various group settings.
• Provide direct services to children and families.
• Support IFSP/IEP goals with teachers and therapists.
• Keep classroom clean, organized, and safe.
• Perform minor first aid and routine hygienic care.
• Assist with outdoor/playground activities.
• Complete required paperwork on time.
• Adhere to WCFD policies and Head Start standards.
