Job summary

Wyoming Child and Family Development seeks a paraeducator for Head Start to support three- to five-year-olds in a safe, engaging classroom. You will assist the Lead Teacher, prepare materials, and provide individualized care to promote social readiness and school success.

You will follow Head Start/NAEYC guidelines, work with diverse families, and help implement IFSP/IEP goals while maintaining a clean, organized classroom and participating in child screenings as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a HS Diploma or GED and be 18+; CDA within specified time frame; training provided.
• Strong ability to work with young children with diverse needs and families.
• Ability to follow instructions and collaborate with staff in a Head Start program.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and enroll children per program guidelines.
• Implement lesson plans in various group settings and adapt as needed.
• Deliver direct services to children and families; ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Communicate effectively with staff, children, and families.
• Assist with IFSP/IEP goals in collaboration with teachers and therapists.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and support outdoor activities.
