Job summary

Wyoming Child and Family Development in Gillette, WY, invites applications for a Substitute Paraeducator Head Start. You will support the Lead Teacher, prepare materials, and provide individualized care to foster social readiness in children aged 3–5, in alignment with Head Start standards.

You will implement lesson plans, collaborate with families and staff, and assist with IFSP/IEP goals while maintaining a safe, clean classroom and handling routine caregiving tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a HS diploma or GED and be 18+ years old.
• Must obtain Child Development Associate Credential within a set timeframe.
• Additional trainings or certifications may be required by WCFD.
• Degrees accepted only from accredited institutions recognized by the US Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teacher with setting up materials and classroom activities.
• Deliver direct services to children, families, and staff in various settings.
• Support IFSP and/or IEP goals in collaboration with teachers and therapists.
• Keep classroom areas clean, organized, and safe; perform paperwork timely.
• Provide basic first aid, diapering, feeding, and comforting as needed.
• Participate in child screenings and assist with outdoor activities.
