Job summary

The Y in Central Maryland seeks a Head Start Site Director to oversee clustered Y Head Start centers and public school sites. You will supervise Head Start Teachers, Assistant Teachers, and support staff, ensuring day-to-day operations, OCC licensing compliance, and Head Start program standards.

This role emphasizes planning, program implementation, family engagement, communication, and governance, with opportunities for growth within a mission-driven, community-focused organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience in early learning settings preferred.
• Knowledge of OCC regulations and Head Start Program Performance Standards preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee Head Start operations across multiple sites.
• Lead program implementation and ensure licensing compliance.
• Engage families and build partnerships to support child outcomes.
• Coordinate communication and service delivery across teams.
• Maintain records and prepare program reports.
• Supervise staff including HR functions and performance management.
• Provide program governance and leadership to ensure high quality services.
