Job summary

The Y in Central Maryland is seeking a dedicated Family Services Manager to lead a Head Start recruitment plan, ensure 100% enrollment, and manage waiting lists. You will engage families, guardians, and community partners to identify goals and link services to support family well-being and child development.

You will build trusting relationships, coordinate services, report outcomes, and advocate for families while contributing to a mission-driven, inclusive environment that empowers communities

Qualifications

• Clear communication with children, families and guardians.
• Effective listening and relationship-building with community partners.
• 2 years of experience in Human Services or Social Work.
• Head Start experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement Head Start recruitment plan.
• Establish and maintain a waiting list.
• Engage families and parents/guardians in goal setting.
• Advocate for families and ensure access to support services.
• Develop trusting relationships to support child development and family goals.
• Coordinate community partnerships and reporting.
